Port Forwarding…
Port forwarding is normally a necessity when connecting to your camera from outside your local network. Your router will handle requests from your external IP address and forward them to your local camera and port within your network. Each router differs in how they allow you to set up port forwarding but the general concepts are the same.

DynDNS…
DynDNS is one of many dynamic DNS services. These services allow you to access your changing local network via a web address. As opposed to having to determine your local web address every time you want to connect from an external network, these services keep track of it for you and give it an easy to remember name such as: “mycamera.dyndns-home.com”
This address when combined with port numbers and port-forwarding can give every devices on your network a publicly accessible address.
